Google, which has been updating its services frequently, has stated that anytime they invite a Calendar user into a meeting, Microsoft Outlook users will now be shown as the organizers in the Google Calendar. Previously, if a Google Calendar user accepted an invitation from a Microsoft Outlook user to a meeting event, the Outlook user's display name did not appear at all in the list of meeting participants on Calendar.

Additionally, the business has stated that this improvement is accessible to everyone who uses Google Workspace and has a personal Google Account.

Google made the update public in a Workspace.Thursday's blog post update. According to Google, "as of right now, we're changing this experience so that the Outlook user who scheduled the meeting is featured as the meeting organizer alongside the other attendees in Calendar."

The internet behemoth last month improved meeting room suggestions in Google Calendar. Google has also given users the option to configure working locations in Calendar. This feature "indicates where you're working for specific portions of the day" and allows users to set up working locations in Calendar.

This technology enables users to more accurately reflect their availability based on the physical location they designate, which can change during the day.

In other news, Meta has stated that the Messenger Lite program will no longer be available to users as of September.18. The blog post also noted that, as of August 21, users will be sent to Facebook Lite or Messenger.

For those who don't know, there have been over 760 million downloads of the Lite version, with India leading the pack in terms of users, followed by Brazil and Indonesia.
