The trailer was launched on Thursday and was billed as a "hint of what's to come" by Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X, formerly Twitter.
Elon Musk's "everything app" recently released a trailer, and it appears that X, formerly known as Twitter, aims to combine YouTube, Instagram, Spotify, LinkedIn, Patreon, Venmo, FaceTime, and Amazon into one service while also acting as a "global town square" for meaningful social interaction.
The teaser was shared on Thursday by Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X, who called it a "hint of what's to come."

The trailer walks the spectator through several recent additions to X, including the creator payment plan) as well as some upcoming features. A few of these, like platform-based video calling, have already been alluded to, but the trailer combines these with a number of other services that other apps already provide, like live TV viewing à la YouTube.
The example of a fictitious user named Claire is used in the trailer. Notably, the user is depicted as an active X Premium subscriber, making it unclear whether non-paying X users will have access to the features in the trailer.
◆ X now permits users to post updates, which is the foundation of Twitter's popularity.
◆Following additional accounts: Another original work.
◆ Reading in-depth articles: This function was introduced by X earlier this year under Musk.
◆ There is nothing new in this image post.
◆ Spaces: Spaces first appeared in 2021 Musk has since made a few format changes, but the fundamental Twitter idea has not changed. A podcast and an AM radio chat show are essentially how these streaming conversations work.
◆ Direct messages are Yet, so far, so accustomed.
◆ Video calling is a new feature that has not yet been made available. It has been teased since earlier this year and resembles FaceTime or WhatsApp calling greatly.
◆ Direct shopping is currently not possible on X, but according to Yaccarino's trailer, it will soon be possible to either buy things directly on the platform or click on a product to visit the website of the seller, much like you can on Instagram.
◆ The trailer depicts videos on X being streamed live and in a variety of formats lengths. That would be an improvement over the platform's current limitation on the size of video windows for display.
◆ Payments: Musk has previously hinted at this feature, which would be a throwback to his PayPal days. According to Musk, it would function similarly to a platform like PayPal or Venmo. This is still a work in progress.
◆ Monetization: At the moment, creators on X who subscribe to X Premium and satisfy the requirements for popularity on the platform are compensated with a portion of the income they produce. After accounts linked to extremist content were reportedly paid under the scheme, including Andrew Tate, who is under investigation for human trafficking, this feature, which was introduced by Musk, courted controversy.
There isn't any information regarding the release date or target audience for any new features.
