In order to conserve battery life, Samsung One UI 6 has a new "Screen Hide" feature.
Google is anticipated to release the official stable update for Android 14 very soon.Samsung is also putting the finishing touches on OneUI 6, an Android 14 skin that is renowned for adding features to the base OS. Screen Hide, one of the new features in Samsung OneUI 6, enables users to disable the display while still using an app. When using audio-based applications like podcasts or music streaming apps, this can help preserve battery life.
The Good Guardians app must first be downloaded and installed for users to use the Screen Hide feature the Galaxy Store's app.
Open the app after installation, then select "Battery Guardian." Open the "Screen Hide" option after that. If you want to add the Screen Hide feature to the Quick Settings panel, select "Add to Quick Settings Panel" and then click "Add."
Users can quickly turn off the display while using an app once the Screen Hide feature has been added to the Quick Settings panel. To do this, open the Quick Settings panel and tap on the Screen Hide icon. The app will then carry on operating in the background even after the display is turned off.
The display will be kept in a low-power mode and information about the currently running app will be briefly displayed when the Screen Hide feature is in use presented. Users only need to double-tap the screen or press the power button to restart the display.
While in beta, the Screen Hide feature may present some difficulties. It is a promising new feature, though, and it may allow users to extend the life of their Samsung devices' batteries.
