Earlier today, Xiaomi went ahead and unveiled its Redmi 13 series in China. Three devices make up the series: the Redmi Note 13, Note 13 Pro, and top-tier Note 13 Pro+, which we'll go into more detail about here.

Purple, black, and white Redmi 13 Pro+

Design-wise, Xiaomi chose a curved screen for the Pro+ and an updated camera island with a vegan leather back for the purple model and AG frosted glass backs for the black and white models. The first Redmi phone with an IP68 rating is the Note 13 Pro+.

A 6.67-inch curved OLED display is located up front with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1220 x 2712 pixels. The panel has a 1,920Hz PWM dimming and can output 12-bit colors. In auto mode, it can produce a maximum brightness of 1800 nits while being protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. A 16MP front-facing camera and an optical in-display fingerprint scanner are also included.

Curved 6.67" OLED with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz is a feature of the Note 13 Pro+.

Xiaomi chose the Dimensity 7200-Ultra chipset from MediaTek, which can support up to 16GB of LDDR5 memory and 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A massive 4000mm2 graphite sheet and VC heat sink were also added by Xiaomi.

The sensor used on last year's Redmi Note 12 Pro+, a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor (1/1.4" size and 0.56 m pixels), is featured on the back. The 8MP Additionally carried over are an ultrawide module and a 2MP macro camera.

Samsung's 200MP ISOCELL HP3 makes a comeback.

The 5,000 mAh battery has 120W fast charging, and MIUI 14 handles the software front. Both are based on Android 13. Stereo speakers and an infrared port are additional noteworthy extras.

The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has two price points: the 12/256GB trim starts at CNY 1,999 ($273), and the 16/512GB model costs CNY 2,299 ($314). On September 26, open shopping hours in China begin.

First, where did you get the price tag for 500 Euros? It is USD 314 (approximately EUR 295), as stated in the article. Second, where do you get the idea that suddenly, an Android phone without update support is useless? My beloved Galaxy A50 is currently on...

Please, Sherlock. It goes without saying that most people will choose the more expensive item if you give them a choice between two things that are significantly different in price, whether they like it or not. They can still sell it to get the more affordable one they want while keeping the former...
