Android 14 can be obtained.

The most recent version of the Android operating system, Android 14, has been released by Google. Pixel phones (4A 5G and higher) already have it, and "later this year" phones from Samsung, Nothing, OnePlus, and other manufacturers will also support it.

The upgrade includes several new security features, such as enhanced passkey support and privacy safeguards an abundance of UI, customization, and health updates, as well as dubious data brokers.

The main improvement in the new OS, or at least the coolest one right away, is the addition of new lock screen customizations. You may switch between various clock formats and styles, which gives the phone a somewhat more unique look. Google is also introducing an AI-driven wallpaper maker. Sadly, at launch, that feature will only be accessible on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

Then there is expanded passkey compatibility, which enables you to sign in to third-party apps using your fingerprint. The new Android Credential Manager allows apps to collect all of a user's sign-in options, including Using passwords and "Sign-in with Google," we can streamline the login process and only show the safest choice.

Better camera extension support, 10-bit HDR image compatibility, and Android's new Health Connect feature, which maintains health and fitness data on-device similarly to Apple Health, are among the other new features. The Android 14 upgrade notes for Pixel smartphones are available on Google's website.
