After introducing its newest iPhone 15 series and smartwatches last month, Cupertino, California-based Apple is apparently getting ready to introduce a low-cost 11th-generation iPad on October 17, today. Alongside it, a third-generation upgraded Apple Pencil with interchangeable magnetic tips for digital art, technical illustration, and drawing is predicted.

The upcoming iPad will maintain the same design as the 10th-generation tablet, assuring smooth compatibility with current accessories, claims an insider by the name of Majin Bu. The same source alluded to the release of a third-generation Apple Pencil with interchangeable magnetic points last week.

Although Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claimed that new iPads were in fact being developed, their release is not anticipated this month. However, according to claims from 9to5Mac and Supercharged News, Apple could introduce upgraded editions of the iPad mini, iPad Air, and normal iPad as early as Tuesday, according to MacRumors.

The Apple Pencil 3 will instead be unveiled, according to a Japanese publication named Mac Otakara, rather than new iPads.

Furthermore, Majin Bu's article on the upcoming 11th-generation iPad makes no mention of prospective improvements for the iPad Air or iPad Mini, according to MacRumors. The claim does, however, fit with past rumors from Mac Otakara and suggests the probability of additional compatible peripherals, including a revamped Apple Pencil.

Meanwhile, a recent Morgan Stanley analysis predicts that Apple's quarterly iPad sales will decrease significantly revenue compared to the same period last year in the fourth quarter of 2023.

According to the research, Apple's Q4 2023 iPad revenue will total $7.2 billion, down almost 23% from the $9.4 billion reported in the same quarter of the previous year.
