Following years of difficulties brought on by US sanctions and chip shortages, Huawei's Kirin processor has made a significant comeback, taking back a position among the top five worldwide chipmakers.
As per the Q3 2023 study by Counterpoint Research, Hisilicon, a chip manufacturer fully owned by Huawei, is presently ranked fifth with a 3% market share of chipsets worldwide. This is a huge comeback for the business, which had trouble finding other opportunities when the US government placed it on a blacklist.
