Fitness tracker Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is scheduled to go global in the fall.

Xiaomi unveiled the Smart Band 8 in April, and the Smart Band 8 Pro followed soon after. However, the company hasn't yet made either one available internationally, thus they are both still available only in China. 

It is important to note that this was also true of earlier Mi Band and Smart Band generations, including the Smart Band 7 and Smart Band 7 Pro from a year ago.

'Major Polish distributor' has revealed when Smart Band 8 deliveries will start, claims Gadgets & Wearables. However, neither a source for this information nor the name of the distributor in question have been given by the website.

 As a result, we would regard this as a rumor.until new, concrete evidence becomes available.

The Smart Band 8 is rumored to begin shipping on October 4, much later than the Xiaomi 13T series. The Xiaomi 13T and Xiaomi 13T Pro's complete specifications, which we have reported separately, have recently surfaced online. 

Theoretically, an October 4 shipment date might only apply to Poland, although it seems odd that there would be a different release date for just one Eurozone country. Based on previous launches, Xiaomi might publicly unveil the Smart Band 8 a few weeks prior to the devices going on sale.

 In any case, it seems that the Smart Band 8 and not the Smart Band 8 Pro will be the only devices affected by this release.

Since then, Kacper Skrzypek has provided us with information about the Polish distributor for Gadgets & Wearables.referred to in its article.

 The Smart Band 8 will start shipping on October 3, according to X-Kom, as can be seen in the image below, one day sooner than what Gadgets & Wearables predicted. The Smart Band 8 is also available from the same vendor for PLN 199, which at the current exchange rate, including Poland's 23% VAT, is equivalent to €45 or US$49. 

In other words, the Smart Band 8 may be purchased in the US for less than $40.
