The new MediaTek Dimensity 8300 CPU has been unveiled by MediaTek, a manufacturer of chipsets for smartphones. The new processor from the business offers three times higher performance than the previous one and fully supports generative AI. The chipset offers 5G network downlink speed up to 5.17Gbps and a 320 megapixel camera sensor, according to the manufacturer.
More power will be available with less battery.
With TSMC's cutting edge second generation 4NM technology, the chipset provides 30% less power consumption and 20% improved performance compared to its predecessor. Additionally, AI-related features like Large Language Model (LLM) and Stable Diffusion are supported.
The newest smartphone CPU from MediaTek, the Dimensity 8300, has eight cores and four Arm There are four Cortex-A510 efficiency cores and four Cortex-A715 performance cores, with respective clock speeds of 2.2GHz and 3.35GHz. In terms of connection, the recently released Dimension 8300 boasts a 3GPP Release-16 modem that supports both 4G and 5G LTE. The chipset provides satellite-based navigation with support for GPS, GLONASS, and NavIC in addition to Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4.
