With iOS 17, which has been available for more than a month, we can now enjoy some fantastic new features including Live Voicemail, Contact Posters, and the much-loved Standby Mode. However, there are usually a few minor additions that go mostly ignored and that Apple never makes public with any significant upgrade. These are what I like to refer to as quality-of-life updates. These are little touches that will improve every iPhone user's experience on a daily basis, but they won't garner much attention. Here are my top ten iOS 17 features that nobody is mentioning. Check out the video and give them a try!

1. Examining the laundry tag icons in the picture app I

just sent this tweet highlighting a recent addition to the iPhone's pictures app. Have you ever washed an item of clothing in hot water instead of cold, ruining it or, worse, ruining something your significant other wore? Perhaps your favorite clothing shrank because it wasn't meant to be dried in the dryer? I have, in fact, completed this. Nevertheless, iOS 17 allows you to snap a photo of your clothes tag and your iPhone will interpret the meaning of every laundry symbol for you!

2. iMessage's voice message transcription

Voice transcription was another really helpful addition to iMessage. This update is fantastic since it happens automatically; nothing needs to be adjusted or turned on or changed. Simply record a regular voice message in iMessage, and the transcription will appear directly beneath the audio message in less than five seconds. You can now read the message if you are in a position where you can hear it in person. The transcribing accuracy in my use scenario is 99%. It has rarely, if ever, misunderstood what I was expressing.

3. Make an Apple Watch call

We can virtually always ping our iPhone with our Apple Watch, so if you misplace your phone, you can finally find it by making a noise with it. However, Apple now permits us to take the opposite action. Now that you have your Ping your Apple Watch with your iPhone. Before you start complaining that it's a pointless function and questioning why anyone would need it, let me explain that my two-year-old daughter frequently takes my Apple Watch and leaves it on the couch or in her toy bin. This feature has therefore been invaluable to me. Do you anticipate using it?

The option won't be available in your control center by default. To include it:

Add Ping My Watch from Settings > Control Center

4. Album shuffle lock screen wallpaper

One feature that Apple added to iOS 17 after introducing new Lock Screen customisation with iOS 16 was the ability to have your iPhone randomly switch between multiple wallpapers based on on periods of time. Your phone would then shuffle the photographs in that category on your lock screen once you selected it. You can now choose which album to shuffle through on iOS 17. It used to be impossible to choose which pictures would be shuffled through. You may now make a wallpaper folder in your picture collection and choose from it when you personalize your lock screen!

Is that not the purpose of these phones? It is the Swiss army of today. a knife that will enable you to do any task that needs to be done.

I believe that iOS 17 is at a wonderful place overall. At debut, it had some fantastic new features, and as updates go out, we'll receive even more. For instance, when iOS 17.2 is released, we will at last be able to use the new Journal App.
