Vivo has quietly revealed that it would be releasing its first G-series phone in China. The Vivo G2 was discovered last week in the Google Play Console database, and it is currently officially available on Vivo China's website. These are the device's characteristics, specifications, and cost.

Features and characteristics of the Vivo G2

The 6.56-inch LCD screen on the Vivo G2 features a teardrop notch. With a refresh rate of 90 Hz, the screen has an HD+ resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels. The gadget has Android 13, which is based on Origin OS 3, preloaded. Its front panel features a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the back panel features a Single 13 megapixel camera with LED flash.

The Dimension 6020 chipset and up to 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM are powering the Vivo G2. The gadget has up to 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage in addition to a microSD card slot for further storage.

The Vivo G2 is clearly a rebranded variant of the Vivo Y36i, which was unveiled in China in December 2023, based on its specifications and design. The G2 seems to be targeted for China's offline market .

There are four different versions of the Vivo G2: 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB. The prices of these variations are 1,199 Yuan (about $167), 1,499 Yuan (about $210), 1,599 Yuan (about $225), and 1,899 Yuan (about $265), in that order. Only Deep Sea Black is available in this hue.
