This will make it possible for independent developers to integrate contactless payment methods and functions with Apple Pay and Apple Wallet. As stated According to Apple, developers will get access to the iPhone's NFC chip for a variety of uses, including student IDs, vehicle keys, payments, and more:
◆Payments made in-store
◆Vehicle keys
◆Closed-loop transportation
◆Business insignia
◆IDs for students
◆house keys
◆hotel keys
◆Cards for incentives and loyalty to merchants
◆Event passes
◆Government identity cards (will be released later)

Furthermore, according to Apple, developers must sign a business contract with the company, seek the NFC and SE permission, and "pay the related costs" to gain access to the NFC chip on the iPhone. Apple hasn't yet released any information on the charging schedule.
